How We Ship
All Plakato orders are produced and shipped by our fulfilment partner Gelato, which operates the world's largest network of on-demand production hubs — over 140 production partners across 32 countries.
Your poster is printed at the production facility closest to your delivery address, meaning shorter shipping distances, faster delivery, and lower carbon emissions. Over 90% of products are produced and shipped locally.
Delivery Times
Once your order is placed, it enters production and is typically shipped within 1–3 business days. Estimated total delivery time (including production):
- Domestic (Norway): 2–5 business days
- Europe: 3–7 business days
- Rest of the world: 5–12 business days
Over 90% of orders are produced and delivered within 5 days. Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on the destination, product type, and carrier conditions.
Shipping Costs
Shipping costs depend on the product size, destination, and shipping method selected. The exact shipping cost is calculated and displayed at checkout before you confirm your order. There are no hidden fees.
Order Tracking
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information. You can use this to follow your package in real-time. Our shipping partners include DHL, FedEx, Royal Mail, and various local postal services, selected based on the delivery country.
Return Policy
Because every Plakato product is custom-made and printed specifically for your order, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for change-of-mind purchases. This is in accordance with the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act (Angrerettloven), Section 22, letter c, which exempts goods made to the consumer's specifications from the right of withdrawal.

Defective or Damaged Products
We take quality seriously. If you receive a product that is:
- Damaged during shipping
- Defective in print quality
- Incorrect (wrong product or quantity)
- Materially different from the product description
Please contact us within 30 days of receiving the product at hello@appivate.com with:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos of the defective or damaged product
Our quality assurance team will review your claim. If the claim is validated, we will send a complimentary replacement order as quickly as possible. If a replacement is not feasible or you cannot wait for a new order, we will issue a full refund.
Lost Orders
If your order has not arrived by the estimated delivery date, we recommend waiting 2 additional business days. If it still has not arrived, contact us within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. We will work with the carrier to locate your package and, if confirmed lost, send a replacement at no cost.
Returned to Sender
If a package is returned to the sender due to an incorrect address, delivery rejection, or being unclaimed, please place a new order with a corrected address and contact us. We will refund the product cost of the new order, though you will need to cover the shipping for the replacement order.
Please ensure your shipping address is complete and accurate to avoid delivery issues.
Refund Process
When a refund is approved (for defective, damaged, or lost items), it will be processed to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.
Colour Accuracy
We use high-quality printing technology to reproduce colours as accurately as possible. However, printing is a chemical process and slight colour variations between prints and screen displays are normal. These variations lie within acceptable tolerance levels and are not considered defects.
